Health Advocate

Afsaneh Omidimorad is a public health expert and Ph.D. student in Medicine at the University of Alberta, Canada. Her research focuses on HPV awareness and vaccine uptake among Indigenous peoples in Arctic Canada. In her work, she aims to identify both the barriers to and opportunities for improving HPV vaccination uptake. She is committed to advancing health equity, strengthening community engagement, and improving access to preventive care, particularly among underserved populations.

She brings over a decade of experience in global and public health, having worked with the World Health Organization, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, and academic institutions in Canada, Finland, and Iran. Afsaneh’s expertise spans health systems research, strategic planning, and program evaluation, with a track record of projects addressing maternal health, adolescent health, and cancer care.
