HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS_101 PRESENTATION

Our Healthy Relationships 101 Presentation is delivered to grade 9-12 students by Teresa Norris, a seasoned sexual health expert with over 20 years of experience in advocacy and education. This presentation is proudly supported by the Immunization Partnership Fund of the Public Health Agency of Canada from 2024 to 2026. With a reach of over 100,000 students across Canada, our presentations continue to make a meaningful impact on sexual health education and students’ experiences.

Healthy Relationships_101 is an evidence-based presentation delivered in an engaging way to discuss sexual health topics productively with students.

  • Understanding abstinence
  • Applying consent
  • Navigating online behaviour
  • Sexuality and gender
  • Human papillomavirus (HPV), the HPV vaccines available for girls and boys, and cervical screening
  • Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), prevention/testing
  • HIV and AIDS today
  • Pregnancy prevention
  • Grasping the implications of drug and alcohol use
  • Provide local resources on mental/emotional/sexual health support 
  • Trivia & dismantling myths throughout to emphasize and confirm comprehension of content

Schools are encouraged to participate in our optional pre and post-presentation evaluation in collaboration with McGill University to understand students’ knowledge, attitudes, behaviours, and perceptions, to provide insight into what our audiences know and how effective our methods are in teaching them.
