Webinar Coordinator, CIDC

George Wurtak is the Executive Director of the Consortium for Infectious Disease Control (CIDC). He also serves as Director of the Canadian Network on HPV Prevention (CNHP) and is founder and Co-Chair of the International Indigenous HPV Alliance (IIHpvA). George’s professional interests involve the control of infectious diseases, with a special focus on HPV, and Indigenous health. Prior to serving as the Executive Director of CIDC George served as Director of Programs for the International Centre for Infectious Diseases.

His previous positions include Director of Cancer Control Programs, and Director of Aboriginal Initiatives, with the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba). George has coordinated and conducted many research studies, evaluation surveys, efficacy reviews, medical education webinars and seminars, workshops, conference presentations and has published papers on infectious diseases and educational topics.
