Our mission
The Association pour la santé publique du Québec (ASPQ) is an independent non-profit organization that brings together nearly 1,000 partners from federal, provincial, regional, and municipal governments, foundations, research institutions, and community organizations.
Its goal is to promote a sustainable vision of health, aiming to reduce disease through prevention and improve collective well-being. The ASPQ is committed to integrating health into all public policies by focusing on issues such as lifestyle habits, inequalities, mental health, climate change, and population aging.
The association plays several roles: raising public awareness, investigating health issues, advising decision-makers, developing coalitions and projects in collaboration with other public health partners, and mobilizing civil society for concrete action. Its initiatives cover a variety of areas, such as positive mental health, perinatal care, psychoactive substances, nutrition and physical activity, and health and climate.
