Medical Collaborator

Dr Durand is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University Of Toronto in Canada. She received her medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at McGill University.  For more than 30 years, she has worked at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and at Women’s College Hospital in Toronto, Canada in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her clinical practice has focused on HPV and colposcopy.

She is an educator for both undergraduate and graduate trainees at the University of Toronto and is an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She has worked on advisory boards with the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada and with Cancer Care Ontario. She continues to be an international thought leader in preventive health and vaccines and has presented numerous times at international meetings such as the International Papillomavirus Society Conferences and Eurogin. She has contributed regularly to educational webinars with the Consortium for Infectious Disease Control, an active leader in HPV prevention and control of HPV-related diseases.

As Medical Collaborator with HPV Global Action, Dr Durand is committed to advancing HPV knowledge translation and exchange with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, the general public and policy makers . Her goal is to help to accelerate the path to elimination of HPV-related diseases and cancers.
